The SEMSWA Land Development Program provides input and ensures compliance with drainage regulations for new development in the SEMSWA service area. SEMSWA works closely with the City of Centennial and Arapahoe County Land Use staff as well as area development, engineering and design firms.  SEMSWA has a primary responsibility to ensure any new development or re-development within it's service area is designed and constructed in compliance with applicable Stormwater Criteria.

SEMSWA's Role in the Land Development Process

As mentioned above, one of SEMSWA's responsibilities is to ensure development within it's service area is within compliance of Stormwater Criteria.  More specifically within the Land Development Process, SEMSWA staff conducts the following:

  • Pre-planning and Stormwater Management
  • Pre-Submittal Meetings
  • Submittal Requirements
  • Submittal, Review & Approval
  • Permitting & Inspections
  • Final Closeout
