Since its formation in 2007, SEMSWA’s Floodplain Management Program has been committed to protecting and maintaining local floodplains through the adoption of National Flood Insurance Program policies. The Floodplain Program also enforces sound floodplain management practices within the SEMSWA service area and cooperates with other local, regional and national Floodplain Management agencies.
